Pearl Care Guide

Pearls are organic gemstone, different from other gemstones and precious metals. They are softer and more delicate, so more easily scratched, cracked, and damaged.  

Especially, substances such as perfume and hair spray and even natural body oils and perspiration can dull pearls' lustre or cloud their brilliance.

Therefore, it is better to apply perfume, hair spray, and other cosmetics before putting on your pearls.  After wearing your pearls, wipe them with the custom micro-fibre cloth, which we provided free to the customers purchased pearl necklaces, to remove any traces of cosmetic products or body oils.  Occasionally give your pearls a very thorough wipe down with a dampen cloth.

Because pearls are delicate, it is better to store them separate from hard jewellery items, to prevent scratches or other damage. Pearls are best kept in a soft cloth pouch or a soft-lined jewellery box.

A little bit of care can go a long way toward insuring that your pearls remain safe and bright for years to come !
